As a Therapy Assistant, you will have the opportunity to create a positive impact on the lives of people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home. The successful candidate will be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week across different shifts.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for implementing therapy and lifestyle programs that cater to the unique needs and preferences of residents. This will involve adapting activities to suit their level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.

**Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement therapy and lifestyle programs for groups and individual residents

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor activities to meet the physical and psychological needs of residents

• Foster meaningful relationships with care recipients, families, and team members through effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident interactions and program outcomes

**Requirements:**

• Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other healthcare environment

• Certificate III (or equivalent) in Allied Health Assistance

• Experience working with residents with dementia would be highly regarded

• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds
