Claims Specialist, Fostering Independence

You will be responsible for proactively and effectively managing all aspects of caseloads of worker's compensation claims within the SA legislation and compliance guidelines.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers, and providers.
- Deliver personalized face-to-face assistance to Seriously Injured Workers.
- Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management for Seriously Injured Workers, aimed at their independence, improving their quality of life, and return to work.
- Ensure case management is in accordance with SA legislation and compliance guidelines.
- Pro-actively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans in accordance with EML's guidelines and agreed department and Return to Work SA standards.
- A knowledge of the relevant worker's compensation legislation and regulations would be beneficial.
- A basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
- Empathy and understanding for others.
- The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
