Job Title: Senior Veterinary Nurse

Position Summary:



As a Senior Veterinary Nurse at CVS Group Plc, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our clinic. You will lead and mentor a team of veterinary nurses, assist in complex medical and surgical procedures, and ensure the highest standards of patient care.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead and supervise a team of veterinary nurses, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, including anaesthesia, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Manage and administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, including handling and restraint, as well as client education on health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good condition.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.


Qualifications:




  • Diploma or degree in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of veterinary nursing skills and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and support clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • A compassionate and dedicated approach to animal care.
