Exciting Opportunity in Heavy Goods Transport

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Driver to join our team at Omini Recruit. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for transporting cement, sulfuric acid, and sand between Port Augusta, Olympic Dam, and Port Adelaide.

The role offers flexibility with both residential and DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) options available. You will have the opportunity to operate triple road trains and pneumatic tanks, including side-tippers, and transport materials safely and efficiently.

About the Role:

  • Transporting Materials: You will be responsible for transporting cement, sulfuric acid, and sand between designated locations.
  • Operating Road Trains: You will need to operate triple road trains and pneumatic tanks, including some side-tipper rigs.
  • Safety Protocols: You must adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Shifts and Rotations: You will work on rotating day & night shifts, ensuring optimal delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating multi-combination road trains with road ranger gearboxes.
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient carting of dangerous goods.
  • Conducting pre-trip checks and maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Completing required documentation and reporting.

Requirements:

  • An unrestricted MC licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • A Dangerous Goods (DG) licence is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A complete Pre-Employment medical.
  • Experience in operating MC road trains and road ranger gearboxes.
  • Side-tipping experience is highly desirable.
  • The ability to work independently and adhere to safety protocols.

Compensation: The successful candidate can expect to earn up to $130,000 per annum, plus superannuation. Shared housing accommodation is provided for DIDO workers.
