About the Role

The Style Development Manager will be accountable for conceptualizing and designing pieces that align with CSB's brand identity and market trends under the guidance of the Senior Fashion Designer. They must stay informed about emerging fashion trends and their relevance to the brand, translating the vision provided by the Brand Founder into commercially viable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop original designs and concepts for seasonal collections that meet brand vision and consumer sentiment, while adhering to option count.
  2. Stay current with global fashion trends and target consumer behavior to inform design direction.
  3. Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and produced to the company's high-quality standard.
  4. Design styles to achieve required target COGS, RRP's, and category margin targets.
  5. Effectively communicate new designs to Product Developers & Garment Tech to ensure smooth transition from concept to product.
  6. Understand and adhere to critical path dates to ensure timely delivery of newness.
  7. Maintain accurate execution of CAD's.
  8. Ensure all information on new products is documented and available for marketing & brand to assist launch strategies.
  9. Utilize sales data and customer sentiment to review each range and target new areas for development.

About You

  1. Possess passion for female empowerment, diversity, and inclusion in the fashion industry.
  2. Highly attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  3. Able to manage deadlines and work independently.
  4. Effective communicator to all levels of the organisation and suppliers.
  5. Able to receive constructive feedback and collaborate towards achieving the brand's vision.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Education in Fashion Design/Development or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Proven track record of creating high-quality designs.
  4. Strong understanding of upcoming fashion activewear trends.
  5. Experience dealing with offshore manufacturing suppliers.
  6. Knowledge of product development process, garment construction, and local and offshore production supply chain management.
  7. Proficiency in using Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD.
