Sureway Employment and Training is a leading provider of Workforce Australia Employment Services and Disability Employment Services in NSW, VIC, ACT, and SA.

We are seeking an experienced Life Skills Coordinator to join our team in Bathurst or Orange, servicing the Central West region.

As an Employment Specialist with a Focus on Client Empowerment, you will work closely with clients to assess their non-vocational barriers to employment, develop support plans, and facilitate referrals to local service providers.

You will collaborate with our Employment Services staff and Counselling Team to improve clients' social, psychological, and health barriers to employment.

This role requires some travel and overnight stays, but telehealth services can be provided between periods of travel. A company car will be provided for your convenience.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Social Work or Counselling and membership to a relevant professional association (AASW, PACFA, or ACA).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients for non-vocational barriers to employment
  • Develop support plans and facilitate referrals to local service providers
  • Meet with clients regularly to review progress and determine further action required
  • Work in partnership with Employment Services staff to enable employment outcomes
  • Follow-up with appointments and maintain accurate records

You will also be responsible for meeting KPIs and completing administrative duties as required.
