Support and Guidance in Early Years Classrooms

The role of an Early Years Classroom Support is to provide assistance to teachers in delivering high-quality learning programs that cater to the diverse needs of students. This includes assisting with planning and preparing effective teaching programs that incorporate technology and learning support activities.

  • Assist teachers in planning and preparing teaching programs, incorporating technology and learning support activities.
  • Monitor student progress and identify areas where evidence-based intervention strategies can be applied.
  • Provide guidance and advice on catering to students with diverse learning needs, aiming to improve their outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school specialists to organize and assist with intervention groups, coordinating services effectively.
  • Document observation notes, intervention programs, and assist with preparing classroom materials.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other specialists. The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Education Support and experience working in an educational setting.

  • Ability to assist teachers in planning and preparing teaching programs.
  • Skills in monitoring student progress and applying evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience in supporting diverse learning needs and improving student outcomes.
  • Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups.
  • Proficient in documenting observations and managing intervention programs.
  • Certificate III in Education Support.
  • Experience in an educational setting is highly regarded.
