Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandising and Presentation
    • Follow established merchandising standards and practices to maintain a visually appealing sales floor
    • Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities
    • Write lists of merchandise to be brought from the stockroom for stocking
  • Stockroom and Inventory Management
    • Align merchandise, collect and return stray items, and stock to maintain high merchandise levels
    • Cut boxes for display and accessibility of merchandise
    • Mark merchandise numbers on unmarked items
  • Customer Service
    • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
    • Assist members with loading large items into their carts and direct them to merchandise
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance
    • Operate manual pallet jacks, step stools, wheeled bins, trash compactors, cardboard balers, and other equipment
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales floor goals and objectives
    • Assist in other departments of the warehouse as needed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Certificate or higher
    • Customer service or comparable experience
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Basic knowledge of AS400
    • Basic math skills
  • Other Requirements
    • Satisfactory criminal record check
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate
