Overview


Flexhive is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to provide procurement and contract management oversight and support to the department's Office Building Security function.



About the Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the security operational demands of the department, preparing for gradual increases in workforce return to office and increased security operational needs. They will also lead the Security function uplift program, focusing on improving delivery processes and undertaking POC administration and governance activities.



Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide oversight, governance and support to the department's Security team on management of existing security services Purchase Order Contracts (POCs) governed by the State Purchase Contract (SPC).
  • Lead meetings, advise and negotiate with stakeholders, exercising judgement in contributing to the identification and implementation of solutions to complex problems or issues.
  • Manage the procurement process for future retendering of security services under the State Purchase Contract (SPC), including drafting tender documents and liaising closely with the Procurement team.
  • Contribute to monitoring internal contract management systems and processes, ensuring compliance across the organisation.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Contracts and Procurement with management, implementation and reporting of KPIs, benefit realisation and outcome-based contract performance and compliance.


Key Selection Criteria



  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and master supplier contract management, including ability to interpret complex contract documents and legislative requirements.
  • Ability to influence and resolve commercial issues through negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving supplier performance and implementing contract management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage and advise stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Tertiary qualification in Contract Management, Facilities Management or Procurement highly regarded.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, particularly in property or government contract management.


Benefits


This is a fixed-term opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $73-$83 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, depending on experience. The anticipated hours per week are 38 (7.6 hours per day) for this contract.
