About the Role

As a Cardiac Services Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the cardiac services department, ensuring compliance with the highest standards. You will collaborate with doctors to enhance patient outcomes, develop innovative programs, and improve services to meet the growing needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient flow and timely access from both the Emergency Department and elective admission perspectives.
  • Oversee the provision of cardiac services with the team, ensuring safe, effective, direct, and indirect patient-centered care throughout the entire process.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with teams to drive innovative practices, provide mentorship and support to staff, and ensure professional development.
  • Nurture a dynamic and cohesive team, facilitating timely admission and demonstrating expertise in managing patient access to appropriate areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing.
  • Postgraduate qualification in critical care or cardiac care.
  • Previous comprehensive senior management experience within a hospital environment.
  • Proven experience in managing KPI datasets, including monitoring of activity targets and length of stay management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian Clinical Health Standards and quality improvement activities.
