Electrical Engineering Technician Role

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the seamless operation of packaging machinery solutions. This involves overseeing the installation process, conducting regular maintenance and repairs, and ensuring the machinery operates at optimal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Collaborate with the engineering team to install new packaging machinery and implement any necessary upgrades. Conduct thorough maintenance and repairs to prevent equipment downtime and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve electrical issues in packaging machinery. This includes identifying root causes, developing effective solutions, and implementing repairs to minimize production disruptions.
  • Custom Design and Implementation: Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement custom machinery solutions that meet client requirements. This may involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that drive business results.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide expert technical support to clients and staff on the operation and maintenance of packaging machinery. This may involve training users on best practices and providing ongoing support to ensure they are equipped to handle complex technical issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all machinery complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and other team members on larger projects to ensure timely and successful completion. This involves working effectively in a team environment and contributing to project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, maintenance activities, and other technical operations. This ensures transparency and accountability throughout the entire process.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
  • A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' proven experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • A strong understanding of electrical systems and machinery is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingsness to travel to client sites as needed.
