Forensic Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Queensland Corrective Services. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a correctional centre setting.

• Develop and implement culturally safe mental health programs and services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
• Conduct assessments and provide interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
• Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to staff and stakeholders
• Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures

• Provisional or General Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health and cultural safety principles
• Experience working in a correctional centre or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
