The Bureau seeks a highly skilled Information Compliance Lead to lead the management of its obligations under key legislation.
Job DescriptionThis senior role involves providing professional advice, managing compliance activities, and leading the implementation of the FOI framework. The role requires liaising with internal and external customers, coordinating responses, and preparing correspondence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a small team to process FOI applications in accordance with legislative obligations and policy framework.
- Manage FOI compliance and administrative activities, including reporting to relevant stakeholders and maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and templates for the FOI framework.
- Monitor privacy enquiries and reports, working with officers to investigate and respond.
- Further develop the Bureau's privacy maturity through action planning and stakeholder engagement.
To be successful, you will need:
- A strong understanding of the FOI Act, Privacy Act, and Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code.
- Experience in managing teams and developing policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
