About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team in the Improvement and Sustainability Unit, part of the Finance Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the scoping, costing, planning, implementation, delivery, closure, and evaluation of complex projects and initiatives that contribute to priority service redesign, efficiency, and improvement strategies across the Women's and Children's Health Network.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in project/program design and management techniques, methodologies, and related activities, including the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of projects and strategies dealing with complex issues, including sensitive matters. They will also have experience in organising, managing, and leading complex change projects involving multiple stakeholders from various professions/occupations and levels of seniority.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake critical analysis of data and information to support evidence-based decision-making and lead assurance and review activities to ensure ongoing project improvements. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and working cooperatively and constructively with senior staff, stakeholders, and project teams to achieve objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in project/program design and management techniques, methodologies, and related activities.
  • Experience in organising, managing, and leading complex change projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and working cooperatively and constructively with senior staff, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring and utilising high-level conceptual and analytical skills.
