The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing operational management and nursing leadership within the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services.

Clinician engagement and leadership have been a prominent feature of the public health system for several years, where clinician-led clinical standards, safety, and quality improvements have become a major focus. The Local Health District (LHD) is committed to strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement, and evaluation of health services.

  • Key Responsibilities include:
  • Leading operational management and nursing leadership within the LHD’s Addiction Services
  • Collaborating with clinicians to develop and implement clinical standards, policies, and procedures
  • Directing teams to improve safety and quality outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Representing the LHD on regional and statewide committees and forums
