Natural Hazard Modeller

The role of Natural Hazard Modeller is to contribute to the financial resilience of our organisation by supporting the development and delivery of modelling processes across natural hazards. You will work within a team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful outputs.

You will assist in developing and maintaining modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting and reinsurance optimisation. Your tasks will include preparing, validating, and managing data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling. Additionally, you will support the delivery of technical outputs to internal stakeholders within agreed timeframes.

Required skills and qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics

  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, SAS, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Python or other programming languages desirable
