About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecologist to lead our biodiversity assessment team in the NSW market.

The successful candidate will have experience in undertaking biodiversity assessments, expertise in NSW vegetation communities, and a strong desire to grow and lead people.

The role involves managing biodiversity assessments for major infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams, and preparing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards.

The ideal candidate will have a BAM accredited assessor, experience in NSW undertaking biodiversity assessments, and expertise in the identification of NSW vegetation communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity assessments
  • Provide advice for environmental designs such as fauna connectivity structures
  • Prepare biodiversity offset strategies and undertake biodiversity monitoring
  • Develop the skills of less senior staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Prepare reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards
Requirements:
  • BAM accredited assessor
  • Experience in NSW undertaking biodiversity assessments
  • Expertise and confidence in the identification of NSW vegetation communities
  • A desire to grow, lead and develop people
  • An appreciation of commercial risk management in the consulting industry
  • Current driver's license
