We are seeking a motivated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to lead our team in South East Melbourne. As a key member of our VetPartners group, you will have the opportunity to drive patient care, support our dedicated teams, and contribute to the success of our veterinary clinics.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Clinic Team in partnership with the Lead Vet and Head Nurse (if applicable) by fostering a positive culture of accountability, empathy, and openness.
- Proactively manage clinical scheduling for optimal efficiency.
- Manage recruitment in partnership with the Lead Vet, Regional Manager, Head Nurse, and recruitment team.
- Compile fair and effective rosters in response to business needs and budgets.
- Demonstrate balanced decision making with consideration of both clinical and commercial outcomes.
- Manage inventory, cash balancing at end of day, and stock taking processes.
- Create and manage the implementation of uncompromising standards of care in the delivery of veterinary and nursing, medical and surgical services.
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors, both psychologically and physically.
- Drive a customer-focused culture and demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of customer service with all team members.
- Business management and team leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent time management.
- Responsible, organised, self-directed, and efficient.
- Willingness to learn and be dynamic.
- Self-motivated and shows initiative.
