Job Description

The Senior Portfolio Manager position sits within our Lending team, where we specialize in mid-market construction deals on the eastern seaboard. This role offers a unique opportunity to align your network and join a growing team under great leadership with a respected brand.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing new commercial property lending opportunities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Seeking and securing new lending opportunities via relationships with developers, brokers, valuers, and other external sources.
  2. Recommending service providers for lending and providing relevant submissions to the Chief Risk Officer.
  3. Negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing of facilities with borrowers.
  4. Overseeing the preparation of loan submissions for presentation to the Lending Committee.
  5. Managing loans from approval to settlement, construction drawdowns, and repayment, including dealing with professionals such as valuers, QS, engineers, and solicitors.
  6. Monitoring ongoing covenants to ensure loans are compliant with policies and procedures.
  7. Building rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Working collaboratively with all members of the Lending team to assist in meeting all team goals.
  9. Reporting to the Executive, Lending, Treasury, and Work out Committees, and the Board.
