St George Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to enhance patient care.
The RoleThis position demands advanced clinical nursing skills, including comprehensive assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities, and relevant referral skills applied to challenging situations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Neurology care delivery systems, enabling them to lead and implement changes in clinical practice through evidence-based research.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute plans for patient care, incorporating diagnostic capabilities and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Neurology care delivery systems, ensuring effective leadership and implementation of changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating autonomy and accountability.
The successful candidate will require recent experience in acute care facilities, particularly in the specialty field of Neurology. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively, leveraging expertise to drive exceptional patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner or enrolled in an approved program.
- Postgraduate qualifications at Master's level, preferably in a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex client-centred consultancy, practice development activities, mentoring, education, and policy development.
- Advanced clinical leadership skills, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities within Neurology.
The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously, making decisions that impact patient care while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
