Job Title: Handyman

We are seeking a skilled and experienced handyman to undertake various tasks in Sydney.

  • Fitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings including light bulbs, windows, doors and handrails.
  • Performing basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toilets.
  • Performing basic carpentry including hanging and replacing doors and operating power tools.
  • Minor welding for fabricating or repairing fixtures.
  • Checking safety equipment such as fire hoses, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and alarms.
  • Reporting significant repair requirements to management.
  • Clearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debris.
  • Applying and repairing paint and plaster.
  • Changing locks on doors and windows.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with handyman duties or relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment is highly desirable.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Full availability for a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays (shift time between 7 am and 11 pm).
  • Professional approach when dealing with guests and staff members.
  • Must pass a Work Health Physical Assessment/Drug and Alcohol test prior to employment.
