Sterilization Technician

We are seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team on a casual basis.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilization and infection control in our operating rooms.

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilizing of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
• Compliance with AS/NZ standards 5369:2023, GENCA
• Operation, interpretation, and documentation of all machinery operational requirements
• Reporting and documentation of all quality activities
• Ensuring priority of instrumentation and processes

• 2 years' experience as a CSSD technician in an acute hospital setting
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZ standards
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
• Experience with tracking systems
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various databases
