Key Position Summary: We seek a seasoned legal professional to fill the role of Senior In-House Counsel within our dynamic in-house legal team. This strategic position will support our business operations while contributing to global legal initiatives and cross-border projects.
Principal Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts; provide timely, commercially astute legal advice on intellectual property, corporate governance, and employment law matters; collaborate with stakeholders to improve legal processes and contract frameworks; contribute to the development of global legal strategies and group-level matters.
Ideal Candidate Profile: A proactive, commercially savvy lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. Desired qualifications include 4-8 years of post-admission experience, preferably starting in a top-tier law firm, followed by in-house experience. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills are essential, as well as exposure to corporate and commercial law, with bonus points for IP or agribusiness expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative mindset, the confidence to advise diverse stakeholders, and a desire to work closely with a tight-knit team (five days per week at our Melbourne HQ).
