Anaesthetist Role in Regional NSW

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Anaesthetists (FANZCA) who wish to pursue a career in regional hospitals. You will be well supported by a team of colleagues with a good mix of experience and enthusiasm, providing mentoring and support, with full-time and part-time opportunities.
This role offers multiple part-time and full-time positions available, allowing you to choose the one that suits your needs.
About the Health ServiceThis health service looks after the health and wellbeing of communities across south-east NSW, covering the South Coast, Southern Tablelands, Great Dividing Range, and Snowy Mountains. Their aim is to provide a wide range of hospital-based, community health, and virtual care services for people of all ages. Becoming a recognised leader in rural healthcare and improving the well-being of the community they serve.
About the LocationYou will have the choice between two regional New South Wales hospitals. One option is located 2.5 hours from Canberra by road, in a location with daily flights to Sydney and Melbourne from nearby Merimbula, 10 minutes to the beach and 2.5 hours to snowfields. The other option is based 45 minutes from Canberra, 2hrs to the beach and 2hrs from Sydney. Both locations offer a great work-life balance, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of regional Australia.
Essential Criteria- Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Anaesthetics, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated significant experience relevant to Anaesthesia practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice, including trauma and emergency scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from $262,376 to $354,479, plus an allowance. We also offer up to $20,000 sign on allowance (dependent on position and location) and up to $10,000 to stay. In addition, we provide salary packaging – up to $9,000 for living expenses; $2,600 meal and entertainment; $9,000 remote area housing and novated leasing.
