Project Engineer Job Description

As a Project Engineer at Talent Right, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, low-carbon energy solutions across the Asia Pacific region. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that projects meet client expectations and drive the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project activities, ensuring alignment with client requirements, legislative standards, and project goals.
  • Procure materials and services, ensuring compliance with client, legislative, regulatory, and authority requirements.
  • Develop efficient engineering solutions that meet customer needs, conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to confirm product performance.
  • Determine and manage project schedules, monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues using MS Projects and MS Planner.
  • Control project plans, reviewing design specifications and recommending necessary changes.
  • Manage project costs, reviewing quotes and expenditures.
  • Oversee mechanical design and component selection, including review of specifications and datasheet development.
  • Develop installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
  • Liaise with workshop and production teams on in-house fabrication and assembly.
  • Ensure quality of incoming and outgoing goods and their compliance with orders.
  • Travel as required across Australia and New Zealand for project finalization and client meetings.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of project engineering experience, with a solid background in construction and Oil & Gas industries.
  • Engineering degree with CPEng or RPEQ preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Projects, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and supplier negotiations.
  • Familiarity with Australian legislative, regulatory, and authority standards.
  • Strong skills in managing customer experiences and understanding design reviews.
  • Ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a proactive and customer-centric approach to problem-solving and resource management.
