About the Role

We are expanding our team and looking for a Casual Retail Assistant who will work across a range of departments with a focus on customer service. The successful applicant will have seven day availability with the ability to work a flexible roster. This position comes with an opportunity to progress to permanent employment and duty management shifts.

A typical shift at AUR Limited's FoodWorks store is fast paced and varied.

Our retail assistants are responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our local community, they enjoy building rapport with local customers whilst providing them with grocery essentials and fresh food.

Daily tasks include serving customers using POS technology, filling shelves with daily deliveries and ensuring that the store is kept clean and tidy at all times. Our retail assistants have an eye for detail and are highly motivated to keep the supermarket running successfully.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our local community.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized store.

The successful applicant will be energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about providing outstanding customer service. They will have strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, show initiative and perhaps lead a team. They will be willing to work some weekends. Excellent computer and technology skills are desirable as well as experience working in a delicatessen or food retail store. Experience managing and motivating a small team is also desirable.
