Recovery Support Specialist

Job Overview: Share your recovery journey to help others and gain satisfaction from facilitating self-directed recovery. This part-time position provides coverage for three shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, or 11:00pm-7:30am.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consumer-driven services
  • Model traits such as personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hopefulness
  • Refer and link consumers to community resources
  • Attend meetings and consumer staffings to help develop programs
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary living environment with co-workers, supervisor, facility staff members, and consumers

Promoting Recovery: The successful candidate will promote the recovery model of treatment, including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum age requirement of 21 years old
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor's degree; or a total of 5 years' experience and college combined
  • Varying certifications based on experience level
  • Personal experience with the recovery process and willingness to discuss it appropriately
  • Demonstrated skills in human services and services to adults
  • Ability to work within an organizational structure and accept supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community
  • A valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and insurability
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record

Benefits: The starting pay range is between $17.00-$20.00 per hour, considering job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
