Career Launchpoint - Drill Site Operations Assistant

This position requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety protocols. The successful applicant will be part of a highly efficient and state-of-the-art drilling operation located in Northern South Australia.

Key qualifications and skills required include:

• HR Truck License - essential
• Current High Risk LF (Forklift) Licence - essential
• High Risk CV - Vehicle Loading Crane Licence (desirable)
• Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Operating ancillary equipment, including trucks and machinery as necessary
• Assisting with the setup, dismantling and movement of drill rigs and equipment
• Adding and removing drill rods/augers and other down-hole tools
• Mixing drilling muds/fluids/chemicals/cement as required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Carrying out routine maintenance on drill rigs, equipment, vehicles and tools
• Completing daily pre-start checks on equipment
• Assisting with loading and unloading heavy vehicles
• Cleaning drill rigs, vehicles, equipment and tools
• Other duties as assigned.
