Physics and Mathematics Education Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic physics and mathematics teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a range of students, from beginner to advanced levels, and provide expert advice on content, processes and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies to engage students in problem-solving activities and improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Mentor and coach other teachers to expand their capacity and improve their practice.
  • Provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
  • Assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
  • Supervise and train one or more student teachers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with department values.
