About the RoleThis is an incredible opportunity to work as an Emergency Physician/Consultant at one of Victoria's largest healthcare facilities.
The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with both permanent and fixed-term appointments available. You will be working in a dynamic environment that fosters a culture of supervision and support for junior medical staff.
You will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, teach and mentor junior doctors, and contribute to the growth and development of the department.
About the FacilityThe facility is a 300+ bed health service that serves as the major healthcare provider in the region. It provides general and specialty medical and surgical services, emergency and intensive care, residential aged care, rehabilitation, oncology, mental health, maternity, paediatric services, and Hospital in the Home (HITH).
The department manages more than 60,000 patients annually, with around 25% being paediatric cases. The department also oversees a 12-bed Short Stay Unit under the ED's purview.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA as a FACEM (ED Consultant)
- IMG's eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)
- SIMG's assessed by ACEM College as Substantially comparable
- Fellowship (FACEM) in the next 6 months
