Job Description

As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for:


  1. Keeping track of inmates during daily routines like meals, headcounts, and movements
  2. Maintaining a safe and secure environment by watching for potential risks and reporting concerns
  3. Conducting searches to ensure the integrity of the facility
  4. Supervising activities such as work programs and visits
  5. Treating people fairly and consistently while enforcing rules
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:


  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a current driver's licence
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or Permanent Resident
  • Meet the medical standards to be a Correctional Officer and maintain a reasonable level of fitness
