Mobile Development Lead Job Description
As a seasoned Mobile Development Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and growing our mobile development team. This role will drive the architecture, development, and maintenance of our mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to ensure delivery of robust, user-centric mobile solutions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead Technical Direction: Drive the technical direction of our native iOS and Android applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute to codebases, particularly in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
  • Agile Processes: Oversee the mobile team's agile processes and ensure best practices in software engineering, testing, and CI/CD are followed.
  • Code Review and Mentorship: Review code, mentor engineers, and champion continuous improvement in technical practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mobile architecture and a technical roadmap aligned with product goals.
  • Application Performance: Ensure mobile applications maintain high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of mobile development experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or staff engineer role.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java) ecosystems, SDKs, and design principles.
  • Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
