Senior Journalist Position

We are seeking an experienced journalist to join our team as a senior journalist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a newsroom and be able to demonstrate strong news judgment and interview skills.

The role requires the ability to cut through political speak and break down complex issues, with a solid grasp of social media and digital storytelling. The successful candidate will be able to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment, cover breaking stories without compromising on quality or accuracy, and focus on online engagement and drive subscription growth.

  • Source and create compelling stories that resonate with an audience
  • Digest digital data and use it in planning content
  • Turn what can sometimes be dry topics into engaging reads

In this role, you will be expected to maintain high levels of personal organization and time management, while being willing to embrace change and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced sector. You will also be required to build and maintain a solid network of valuable contacts.
