Position Overview

Your main responsibilities will include:

Key Objectives / Business Outcomes

  • Enhance equipment availability by collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor on Preventative Maintenance initiatives
  • Optimize the utilization of workforce resources, ensuring logged hours align with available hours
  • Foster continuous improvements in machinery safety and safe operational practices

Safety and Quality Assurance

  • Participate in relevant workplace health and safety campaigns that promote a culture of behavioral safety and proactive safety measures.
  • Uphold quality standards and controls to manufacture packaging solutions that fulfill customer expectations and specifications
  • Ensure that tasks are performed in a safe manner, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining secure working environments.
  • Promptly report any near misses or incidents.

Reliability and Efficiency

  • Complete scheduled maintenance and mechanical repair tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Work autonomously when necessary, while also collaborating with the team to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization
  • Scope, execute, document, and finalize work using designated work order systems
  • Support the production team as needed
  • Coordinate with Electrical Trades when necessary
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects aimed at enhancing Safety, Productivity, Quality, and Reliability
  • Manage spare parts inventory as required

  • Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with effective preventative maintenance strategies
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • A strong safety awareness and the ability to operate within a robust safety culture
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues

  • Problem-solving with cost-effective solutions that maximize production uptime
  • Prioritizing safety above all other considerations
