Actuary Role Overview

As an Actuary, you will play a key role in leading industry and biometric research to guide our global pricing goals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide pricing guidance, prepare best practices, and offer advice to complement the work done by regional and local offices.

The successful candidate will have experience in emerging biometric pricing risks and establishing Biometric Pricing Assumptions teams. They will also contribute to Enterprise Pricing thought leadership and report directly to the VP in the Enterprise Pricing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pricing guidance and product best practices and advice
  • Identify, research, and model emerging biometric risks
  • Undertake benchmarking of key pricing assumptions
  • Provide cross-market comparisons and identify trends in Mortality and Morbidity products
  • Lead pricing consulting projects
  • Contribute to RGA's global pricing community
  • Support RGA's development and implementation of corporate pricing standards and policies

Requirements:

  • FSA or equivalent accreditation
  • 5+ years of individual mortality, longevity and morbidity (re)insurance experience
  • 1-2 years of product/pricing actuarial experience at a senior level
  • Experience developing pricing bases and in particular experience in mortality and morbidity future trend assumptions would be highly valued
  • Advanced knowledge of pricing and reinsurance of individual life and living benefits products across a broad spectrum of products and/or countries
