Heavy Machinery Operator

This role is ideal for those with experience in operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of road safety procedures.
As a key member of the Central Coast Council's Spray Sealing Crew, you will play a vital part in delivering the Council's Road Treatment Program. This involves working efficiently with the crew to ensure the successful completion of road sealing operations.
Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with the Spray Sealing Crew to deliver high-quality road maintenance services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of road treatment strategies.
- Operate a spreader truck, front end loader, street sweeper, and multi-tyred rollers as required.
- Maintain knowledge of road safety signage and safety procedures relevant to construction work.
- Current HR Drivers Licence.
- Current Safework Traffic Control Certificate.
- Valid Construction General Induction Card, Safework NSW or equivalent.
- Safe Work Near Overhead Power Lines Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in operating heavy machinery such as spreader trucks, front end loaders, and street sweepers.
- Ability to work safely and follow all necessary protocols.
This is a permanent full-time role working a 9 day fortnight schedule. The Central Coast Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and use it to fill other vacancies.
