About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Officer to join our Liability Claims Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing the claims process, ensuring accurate completion and validation of claims, and interpreting policy coverage to determine if coverage applies to submitted claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Public Liability/Personal Injury claims professional to take their career to the next level and work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pro-actively manage the claims process to achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Interpret policy coverage and determine if coverage applies to submitted claims.
  • Manage SA and WA Liability Claims effectively.
  • Establish and maintain good client relationships with insureds, brokers, investigators, solicitors, and the general public.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A background in Public Liability/Personal Injury claims.
  • Experience with attending Informal Settlement Conferences, Mediations, and Trials.
  • Sound technical understanding and ability to manage a diversified portfolio of bodily injury, property damage, and product liability claims.
  • Understanding of underwriting procedures for a diversified liability portfolio and a proven ability to understand and interpret relevant policy wordings.
