Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Pipeline Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital part in designing and developing innovative solutions for oil and gas pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support in the Engineering and Design processes for oil and gas pipelines
  • Developing and supporting FEED and Designs studies including detailed design calculations
  • Developing and supporting the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria and alignment sheets
  • Participating and supporting in Risk assessment & SMS workshops
  • Proactively communicating with Project Managers and Team Members to ensure Projects are delivered within scope, schedule and budget
Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent engineering degrees
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the design of Oil & Gas pipelines and associated assemblies
  • Proven Australian experience in pipeline design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases. Knowledge of Pipeline Integrity and Operations and Maintenance philosophies will be advantageous
  • In-depth knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian Standards, acts, regulations and codes related to the pipeline industry
  • Engineers Australia Chartered Engineer or equivalent. Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (current or eligible to attain)
  • Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage your time and work independently
  • Ability to manage the workload and utilisation of junior engineers
  • Proven experience with mentoring junior engineers
