About the Pharmacy Team
CHQ Pharmacy is dedicated to providing high-quality clinical and medication management services to children and young people. The pharmacy service has approximately 110 staff members, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrative staff, and support staff.
- Maintain stock of medicines and equipment utilised in the Aseptic Production Unit.
- Compound sterile products according to 'Good Manufacturing Practice' and current Australia pharmacy professional standards and guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Exercise accountability and responsibility for the quality standards of aseptically prepared products.
- Co-manage the performance, training, and development of pharmacy assistants, technicians, and rotational pharmacists.
- Ensure that all specialised equipment used in aseptic and cytotoxic manufacturing is operating correctly, cleaned, serviced, and certified as required.
- Highly developed technical knowledge of pharmacy practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
