With a strong focus on delivering exceptional healthcare services to defence force members, we are seeking an experienced Medical Practitioner to join our team in the North QLD Region. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
- Providing General Practice Consultations: As a Medical Practitioner within our Health Centre, you will be responsible for providing high-quality general practice consultations, referrals, and health screenings to defence personnel.
- Occupational Medical Assessments: You will conduct occupational medical and health assessments for defence personnel to determine their employability and deployability.
- Medical Advice: You will provide appropriate medical advice to base and unit commanders regarding the employability and deployability of individual members.
- Supervision: You will provide supervision to medical officers in accordance with FRACGP guidelines.
About You
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can build strong relationships with defence personnel and other stakeholders.
- Passionate About Healthcare: You must be a passionate and personable GP who is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare outcomes for defence members.
What You Need
- AHPRA Registration: You must hold current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
- FRACGP Fellowship: You should hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent.
- General Practice Trainer Accreditation: You must have accreditation as a General Practice Trainer at Principal/Lead Supervisor level or commitment to achieving this accreditation.
Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum
