Fire Sprinkler Maintenance Specialist

Amentum is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team in Alice Springs. As a key member of our multi-skilled team, you will be responsible for maintaining facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinklers and associated infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards
- Repair and install associated wet and dry suppression systems and infrastructure
- Work with operational and maintenance personnel to coordinate life safety system impairments as required for repairs, maintenance, and new installations
- Maintain a complete and current working understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure, equipment, and systems
- Inspect fire extinguishers
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested
- NICET II or III - Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems
- Strong understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) Act, and EHS policies & procedures
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working within Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment
- Strong understanding and knowledge of technical terminology relating to Electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment
- Strong understanding of facilities equipment and functionality
- Strong understanding of facilities O&M requirements
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance requirements (preventive, predictive, & corrective)
- NICET I or II - Fire Alarm Systems
- NICET I or II - Special Hazards Systems
- Experience with Notifier systems
- Trade qualification
- Enterprise Resource Planning experience. (SAP, Archibus etc.)
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience with a diverse range of fire systems and suppression equipment highly regarded
- Personnel are required to be medically fit to work and safely complete all physical tasks associated with the role in which they are employed. This includes but is not limited to being able to carry and control moderate to heavy loads and being able to safely traverse and access maintenance environments that may be uneven or cramped.
