Job Title: Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data solutions architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data storage solutions that meet the needs of our fast-growing business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure that our data storage solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement large-scale data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures for datastores
  • Implement monitoring and alerting using key database metrics
  • Optimize and control costs of the company's storage infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or higher degree in related field required
  • At least 5 years experience running major database technologies in production, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Excellent understanding of SQL and SQL database performance optimization
  • Comfortable scripting & developing internal tooling with Bash or at least one programming language (e.g. python, go)
