Key Maintenance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant and equipment.

About the Job:

This key position involves performing preventative and breakdown maintenance across the plant in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all site maintenance and corrective tasks, including timely closeout of work orders and relevant feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance activities such as scheduled tasks and repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  • Plan and execute own maintenance activities without supervision.
  • Follow established safety protocols at all times.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve operational or technical problems effectively.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting skills as required.
  • Perform modification work and general facility maintenance.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supervise apprentices as required.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified fitter or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge and application of safe working practices and procedures.
  • Previous manufacturing fitter experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
