Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Queensland Highways Team, which includes highway engineers, designers, and drafters. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading by Example: You will be expected to demonstrate HDR's values and lead by example in all aspects of your work.
- Safety Leadership: You will take an active role in promoting a safety culture within the team and ensuring that all team members are committed to safety.
- Team Leadership: You will lead the Queensland Highways Team and provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the resources and expertise needed to deliver high-quality results.
- Business Development: You will be responsible for driving bookings, revenue, and profit growth for Transport clients across Australia, with a focus on the Highways sector in Queensland.
- Project Management: You will undertake Principal In Charge and Project Manager roles on planning, design, and design & construct projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Technical Expertise: You will serve in a senior technical role on selected highway planning, design, and design & construct projects, providing technical guidance and expertise to team members.
- Client Liaison: You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.
- Coaching and Mentoring: You will provide coaching and mentoring to team members to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Other Duties: You will perform other duties as needed to support the team and deliver business results.
