About the Role

This is a rare and exceptional leadership opportunity to lead and oversee a new, securely-funded mental health service hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing thoughtful, person-based, culturally sensitive services consistent with the organization's code of conduct, policies, and procedures.

The role carries many complex accountabilities to various stakeholders, including people from the community and others working in mental health at various levels. The ideal candidate will have AHPRA certification, appropriate credentials, and significant experience as a Senior Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health.

They are focused on improving the wellbeing and quality of life outcomes of people across the community, utilizing a person-centred approach to care.

Through their accessible person-led services, they help people across the mental health spectrum achieve more independent and positive 'lives beyond illness'. They deliver services across 30 locations in Queensland and NSW, ensuring that the lived/living experience voice is central to service co-design and delivery.

About You

The successful applicant will:

  • Have exemplary soft skills and bring significant experience with complex, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services.
  • Receive 'Blue Knot' training as part of onboarding.
  • Be able to establish and support clinical pathways, assessment protocols, and transition of care arrangements.
  • Deliver high-level and quality evidence-based psychological services for the Head to Health service in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Provide supervisory oversight for staff in the service, both clinical and non-clinical.
  • Have knowledge of diverse, socially, and culturally different populations – including First Nations people.
  • Have demonstrated expertise in forming, coaching, and leading multi-disciplinary teams that are kind, outcomes-focused, adaptable, and flexible to changing requirements.
  • Stand as a personal and professional role model to inform and guide the delivery of exemplary mental health intake, assessment, and triage practices to achieve new high levels of service delivery excellence.
