About the Role

Rugby Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Club Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of community rugby clubs in South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to support the growth and development of community rugby clubs in South East Queensland.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community rugby clubs, Queensland Rugby Union, and other relevant organizations.
  • Provide guidance and support to community rugby clubs to enhance their capability and capacity to deliver high-quality rugby programs.
  • Contribute to the development of presentations, analysis, and reporting methods to drive outcomes related to community rugby legacy projects and Queensland Rugby Union's strategic objectives.
  • Assist Queensland Rugby Union and community rugby clubs with their infrastructure and facility plans.
Requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with a written and verbal ability to develop and deliver presentations on strategic and operational direction.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including an ability to analyze, plan, monitor, evaluate, and prioritize.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to think, plan, and mobilize others to act strategically.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience managing people.
  • Ability to resolve sensitive and critical issues internally and externally.
  • Ability to deliver practical programs and projects.
  • Working knowledge of community rugby standards, expectations, and opportunities.
  • Experience managing or supporting infrastructure, facilities, or grants projects.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous position held in a local sporting organization or local government council.
  • Experience in sport, ideally at the community level.
