Job Summary

The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Tenure Track Faculty Position in Restorative Dentistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and supporting didactic and clinical courses in the predoctoral restorative dentistry curricula.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement evidence-based teaching methods to promote student learning and success.
• Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies to ensure alignment with division goals.
• Participate in university and college governance to promote excellence in dental education.
• Support the college's continuing education programs to enhance professional development opportunities.
• Practice in the college's affiliated contemporary intramural Dental Faculty Practice to provide high-quality patient care.
• Engage in scholarly activity to advance the field of prosthodontics and contribute to the college's research mission.
• Participate in departmental and college-wide committees to promote collaboration and innovation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with professional organizations and external partners to advance the college's mission.

Requirements

• DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Certificate of advanced education in prosthodontics from a CODA-accredited program.
• Eligibility for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board.
• Strong track record of scholarly activity and teaching experience in prosthodontics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in dental materials, cariology, digital technology, and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree.
• Experience in course direction and curriculum development.
• Strong record of publication and presentation in prosthodontics.
