Research Geneticist

As a Genomic Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing our laboratory's genetic pathology service. Your responsibilities will include working as part of a collaborative team on routine testing and specimen preparation, analysis, and reporting of referrals by cytogenomic and/or molecular technologies.

• Collaborate with the laboratory team to develop, validate, and implement genomic assays into a diagnostic setting.
• Perform designated testing procedures as outlined in methods and procedures, ensuring adherence to NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.

• A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Experience in cytogenomic and/or molecular genetic testing would be advantageous.
• Recognised professional qualification in Clinical Cytogenetics or molecular genomics is desirable.
