Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Team Lead to join our National Water Resources team in NSW. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing teams and delivering innovative solutions to local and state government, and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and grow the NSW Water Resources team, including junior staff and highly experienced professionals
  • Conduct a range of water resources projects, including hydrological and hydraulic investigation and design
  • Produce technical models and reports to a high standard
  • Build strong relationships with team members, other disciplines, clients, and KBR's leadership team
Requirements:
  • Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 10-15 years' local experience on Water Resources projects
  • Experience in numerical modelling (hydrology, hydraulics and groundwater), including TUFLOW, RORB, XP-RAFTS, HEC-RAS, MUSIC, GOLDSIM and solid experience with GIS applications
  • Chartered professional engineer (CPEng) or ability to achieve this status in 6 months
About the Role

The Water Resources Team Lead will be responsible for delivering a variety of water resource projects, including rural and urban flood studies, transport and mine infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modelling, stormwater management and mine water management. The role involves building strong relationships with team members, other disciplines, clients, and KBR's leadership team, as well as contributing to budgets and plans, management of stakeholders and interaction with regulatory authorities.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per annum
