Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Researchers to join our team in exciting new positions focused on understanding the mechanisms of cancer development.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, develop your skills and expertise, and collaborate with talented colleagues in a supportive and inclusive work environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular and cell biology techniques, experience working with complex model systems, and excellent problem-solving abilities. They will also be able to provide advice and support to Higher Degree by Research students and demonstrate a proven track record of contributing to research relevant to the field of study.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Laboratory experience in standard molecular and cell biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, nucleic acid isolation, and DNA/RNA/protein extraction and analysis.
  • Proven ability to work with complex model systems both in vitro and in vivo.
  • Evidence of contribution towards research relevant to the field of study/interest, such as publications, conference presentations, seminars, reports or professional contributions.
  • Ability to provide advice, support and supervise Higher Degree by Research students.
  • Experience in collaborating locally and nationally to enhance research outcomes.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new techniques and tackle experimental bottlenecks creatively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and good understanding of basic statistics.
